I DO NOT HAVE A DOG ANYMORE. MY DOG "BARNIE" WAS PUT TO SLEEP AFTER LIVING AS
A FAMILY MEMBER FOR 8 YEARS. HE WAS IN MUCH PAIN AND HAD LIVED A GOOD LIFE
FOR A BIG DOG (125 POUNDS). WHEN THE CHURCH LEARNED THAT HE WAS GONE, THEY
HELD A 'MEMORIAL SERVICE' AS A>COMFORT TO MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER ... AND TO MY
FAMILY FOR OUR LOSS.

I AM NOT A HUNTER NOR IS ANYONE ELSE IN MY HOME.
* Do you support any animal rescue organizations or shelters?
YES. THEY PROVIDE A VALUABLE SERVICE TO ANIMALS AND TO OUR COMMUNITY AND
SOCIETY.
* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If
so,please identify the organizations.
THE ASPCA BECAUSE OF THE WORK THEY DO.
* Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or
financially support your campaign?
NONE THAT I AM AWARE OF.
* Should Spaying or Neutering of an animal be controlled by the government through
legislation or should it be left between a veterinarian and their client to decide?
THIS IS A PERSONAL QUESTION AND SHOULD BE A PERSONAL DECISION BETWEEN A
VETERINARIAN AND THE ANIMAL'S OWNER. HOWEVER, IF ANIMALS ARE RESCUED AND
PLACED IN A GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED AND FUNDED FACILITY (IN LIEU OF A FACILITY
FUNDED BY LOCAL CITIZENS) THE PEOPLE PROVIDING THE FUNDING SHOULD HAVE A PART
IN THE DECISION TO DO WHAT THEY DEEM BEST FOR THE ANIMAL AND THE COMMUNITY.
* Do you believe that animal owners should have their status as owners changed to the
status of guardians? As a guardian you do not own your animals, you are strictly a
caretaker?
I WAS BARNIE'S OWNER AND CARETAKER. ON THE MEDICAL RECORDS, HE WAS LISTED AS
BARNIE WATERS, JUST AS A FAMILY MEMBER WOULD BE. SOME PEOPLE ARE CRUEL TO
THEIR ANIMALS AND CHANGING THEIR TITLE WOULD NOT PROTECT THE ANIMAL. "A ROSE
BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL A ROSE." I WILL ADD THAT A 'THORN' BY ANY OTHER NAME
IS STILL A 'THORN.'
* Do you support the states' prerogatives to manage their resident wildlife populations
and establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
I SUPPORT AND BELIEVE IN STATE'S RIGHTS. THAT IS PART OF THE US CONSTITUTION THAT
I HAVE SWORN TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND.
* Do you believe in peoples rights to own (responsibly) any animal of their choice,
regardless of species: exotic or domestic?
NO. MY NEIGHBOR CAN'T "RESPONSIBLY" OWN AN ELEPHANT WITHOUT IMPACTING ME
AND MY PROPERTY. I ALSO DON'T BELIEVE PEOPLE SHOULD 'OWN' A MAJESTIC EAGLE.
* Do you believe it is okay to discriminate against exotic animal owners through unfair
bans?
I DON'T BELIEVE IN "UNFAIR BANS." MAYBE YOU SHOULD RE-WORD THIS QUESTION.

a) Hunting, including the use of dogs
I AM NOT A HUNTER BUT WOULD NOT OPPOSE A PERSON WHO IS. I HAVE SEEN HUNTERS
WITH DOGS THAT I WOULD SUPPORT. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS THAT I WOULD NOT SUPPORT
BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY TREAT THEIR DOGS.
b) Fishing
I AM NOT A FISHERMAN.

THIS WOULD DEPEND ON THE RESEARCH AND THE ANIMAL.
d) Animal ownership and breeding (including pet & livestock breeding, research animals,
