No...Unless you include Fishing...Then Yes...I take my dogs fishing with me..

I currently volunteer at the Northern Nevada Humane Society
* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If
so,please identify the organizations.
I support the local shelters and rescues...I do however have mixed feelings on the issue
of animal testing.
* Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or
financially support your campaign?
Not at this time.
* Should Spaying or Neutering of an animal be controlled by the government through
legislation or should it be left between a veterinarian and their client to decide?
Encouraged by government but not mandated...However I do support the concept of
shelter and rescue animals being spayed or neutered before adoption.
* Do you believe that animal owners should have their status as owners changed to the
status of guardians? As a guardian you do not own your animals, you are strictly a
caretaker?
Is that really necessary?
* Do you support the states' prerogatives to manage their resident wildlife populations
and establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
Yes and No...I think that depends on the animal and it's estimated possible extinction.
* Do you believe in peoples rights to own (responsibly) any animal of their choice,
regardless of species: exotic or domestic?
No...I believe that regardless of the definition of "responsible" there are some "exotic"
species that are too dangerous to be kept in residential or suburban areas.
* Do you believe it is okay to discriminate against exotic animal owners through unfair
bans?
Unfair bans such as what? I believe I need more information before making an informed
response.
What is your position on the following animal and/or hunting related issues?
a) Hunting, including the use
I have no problem with that. I have uncles who hunt with their dogs.
b) Fishing
I fish with my dogs.
c) Animal medical research
Sticky subject.
d) Animal ownership and breeding (including pet & livestock breeding, research animals,
circuses and rodeos)
I don't like to see any animal "intentionally" abused...I think the only area I may have
conflicted feelings would be in the area of research.
