I own two dogs

Not currently.
* Do you support any animal rescue organizations or shelters?
Yes. I have one rescue dog now, and will be seeking another soon.
* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If
so,please identify the organizations.
If this questions refers to organizations such as PETA, I do not.
* Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or
financially support your campaign?
No.
* Should Spaying or Neutering of an animal be controlled by the government through
legislation or should it be left between a veterinarian and their client to decide?
Absolutely Not. Government should not control the activities of private citizens.
* Do you believe that animal owners should have their status as owners changed to the
status of guardians? As a guardian you do not own your animals, you are strictly a
caretaker?
No I do not. The argument seems insane.
* Do you support the states' prerogatives to manage their resident wildlife populations
and establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
Yes. States should control their own destiny
* Do you believe in peoples rights to own (responsibly) any animal of their choice,
regardless of species: exotic or domestic?
Yes, except that in the case of exotic animals that can be dangerous to others (Lions and
Tigers and Bears (oh my)) safety regulations to insure the animal does not escape are
appropriate.
* Do you believe it is okay to discriminate against exotic animal owners through unfair
bans?
No
What is your position on the following animal and/or hunting related issues?
a) Hunting, including the use
Men have hunted for ions. Most animals in fact, hunt. The argument against hunting
seems more about trying to ban weapons eventually than hunting. The use of dogs in
hunting is really irrelevant.This is a personal choice.
b) Fishing
I support the right to fish.
c) Animal medical research
Many medical breakthroughs have come from this research.
d) Animal ownership and breeding (including pet & livestock breeding, research animals,
circuses and rodeos)
These are, in my mind, both tradition and protected (constitutional) activities.
