Yes, we own a cat; our son owns a cat; our daughter has 2 cats and 2 dogs.
* Do you or anyone in your immediate family hunt, with or without a dog?
Yes, I have hunted in the past (not in several years because I had 5 surgeries in 5 years)
and my husband and son are hunters.
* Do you support any animal rescue organizations or shelters?
We sometimes get our animals from the local humane society/shelter.
* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If
so,please identify the organizations.

financially support your campaign?
Not that I am aware of.
* Should Spaying or Neutering of an animal be controlled by the government through
legislation or should it be left between a veterinarian and their client to decide?
I do not object to spaying or neutering animals that have been "dumped" and abandoned
by their owners because feral cats and wild dogs can be a community problem, but it
should not be mandatory or government-controlled.
* Do you believe that animal owners should have their status as owners changed to the
status of guardians? As a guardian you do not own your animals, you are strictly a
caretaker?

* Do you support the states' prerogatives to manage their resident wildlife populations
and establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
Yes, it should be a state decision.

regardless of species: exotic or domestic?
Yes

What is the issue with fishing? We have fishermen in the family; we have gone fishing.

Medical break-throughs have resulted from research. It should be conducted responsibly
and humanely.
d) Animal ownership and breeding (including pet & livestock breeding, research animals,
circuses and rodeos)
No problem when done responsibly and with proper care for the animals. I adamantly
oppose dog-fighting, however.
