A. I have a black Cocker Spaniel and a yippy Jack Russell terrier - and they are my best pals.
* Is your animal spayed or neutered?
A. Yes
* Do you support any animal rescue organizations or shelters?
A. No
* Do you or anyone in your immediate family hunt, with or without a dog?
A. No
* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If so,
please identify the organizations.
A. Not really.
*Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or
financially support your campaign?
A. No
* Do you support intrusive pet legislation, such as the proposed federal law on breeding
frequency and a dog's parenting age (the so-called "Puppy Protection Act," H.R.3484)?
A. I'm not familiar with the bill or its intent, but by your description, I don't think I'd support it.
* Should pets be granted legal rights and accorded "guardianships?"
A. If someone wants to provide for their pet in their will, that is their choice, but I wouldn't
support legislation to mandate it.
* Do you support the states' prerogatives to manage their resident wildlife populations and
establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
A. Yes
* What is your position on the following animal and/or hunting related issues?
* Hunting, including the use of hunting dogs
A. I don't hunt, but I support the right to hunt, with or without dogs
* Fishing
A. I fish a little and support the activity
*Animal medical research
A. It's necessary, as is human research
* Animal ownership and breeding (including pets, livestock, research animals
