Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations?: A: No. Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or financially support your campaign?: A: No. Do you support intrusive pet legislation, such as the proposed federal law on breeding frequency and a dog's parenting age (the so-called "Puppy Protection Act," H.R.3484)?: A: No. Should pets be granted legal rights and accorded "guardianships?": A: No. Do you support the states' prerpgatives to manage their resident wildlife populations and establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?: A: Yes. What is your position on the following animal and/or hunting related issues? Hunting, including the use of hunting dogs: A: I am in favor of a person's right to hunt, with or without a dog. Fishing: A: Fishing is a great sport. I wish I were better at it. Animal Medical research: A: My answer here depends on the nature of the research and whether or not cruelty is administered unnecessarily. Research is important to the health of humans and in that respect it is necessary. The alternative would be to by-pass life saving procedures/medications. It is not acceptable that humans be used for this purpose. Animal ownership and breeding (including pets, livestock, research animals.): A: We have just completed the breeding of our bitch lab and intend to do so twice more. Breeding should be the choice of the animal's owner. Without breeding, some animals would suffer challenges to the line and possibly - extinction.
