Answer: I currently own a Welsh Corgi Pembrook and a taby cat. I have owned a pet my entire
life and they are part of my family.

Answer: I don't hunt but enjoy fishing.

* Do you philosophically support any animal rights or animal protection organizations? If so,
please identify the organizations.
Answer: I support humane treatment of all animals.

* Do any animal rights or animal protection organizations endorse you as a candidate or
financially support your campaign?
Answer: I do not belong to any group.

* Do you support intrusive pet legislation, such as the proposed federal law on breeding
frequency and a dog's parenting age (the so-called "Puppy Protection Act," H.R.3484)?

establish local hunting regulations, without federal interference?
Answer: I have always been a "states rights" supporter. Animal legislation should be state
legislation.

* What is your position on the following animal and/or hunting related issues?

Hunting, including the use of hunting dogs:
Answer: Hunting regulations should be state issues. My position regarding hunting with dogs is
clear. States should only be involved in matters of animal cruelty and preservation and general
health of all species. Hunting should be allowed where there is evidence of surplus population.

Fishing:
Answer: Sport fishing should be allowed with minimal interference from the state.

Animal medical research:
Answer: Regarding the use of animals in research, I am a strong advocate that no cruelty be
allowed in the use of animals in medical research other that the use of lab mice and rats.

Animal ownership and breeding (including pets, livestock, research animals:
Answer: I adamantly oppose puppy mills. They are cruel in the treatment of dogs! As above, I
treat my dogs and cats as part of my family.
